This 2.5 hour webinar prepares currently certified SWIS Facilitators to support local early childhood programs and sites implementing the EC-SWIS application. Participants will learn how to a) use the EC-SWIS application, b) teach others to use EC-SWIS, c) work with early childhood education programs to prepare for EC-SWIS compatibility, and d) work with teams/coaches to apply a data-based, decision-making model in early childhood settings.
EC-SWIS is the newest addition to the SWIS suite of applications. It is a web-based decision system that monitors social climate and child behavior by tracking behavior incidents within the early childhood context. Not only does EC-SWIS support decision-making through easy access to comprehensive graphs but also provides a structure to improve the consistency and accuracy of staff reporting of behavioral incidents.
