This 20-hour hybrid course prepares and certifies participants to provide services and supports as an I-SWIS Facilitator to local schools interested in implementation of the Tier 3 component of SWIS or Individual School-Wide Information System (I-SWIS).
I-SWIS is a web-based decision system that monitors intensive systems and supports.. I-SWIS not only supports the organization and decision making about an individual student but also supports planning and decisions about the broader Tier 3 systems across a campus or program.

Upon completion of the course participants will be prepared to:
As part of this certification, participants will be completed independent modules and activities before and after each live class meeting.
Pre-training modules will be sent at least 2 weeks prior to the first in-person learning session and will take about 4 hours to complete. These will be due 24 hours before the first class meeting.
Post-training modules vary by week but will generally be due by the next class meeting (or 2 weeks after the final meeting) and will take 2-4 hours to complete.
As this is a hybrid training, technological skills (e.g., the ability to navigate and use multiple computer applications and/or resources at the same time) are necessary to successfully access the training content and participate in this training.
Note: Full attendance and participation at all instructor-led synchronous learning sessions is required for certification. Please plan your schedule accordingly.
Individuals wanting to become I-SWIS facilitators to support local schools in monitoring Tier 3 supports. The role is designed for people who will be training, supporting, and providing technical assistance to multiple schools within a district, region, and/or state.
