This 10-hour online hybrid training webinar prepares and certifies participants to provide services and supports as a CICO-SWIS facilitator to local schools implementing the CICO-SWIS web application.

Content of the training includes:

  • Overview of PBIS Applications and the SWIS Suite
  • Overview of the CICO intervention
  • Overview of the CICO-SWIS application
  • CICO-SWIS Account Set-Up and Data Entry tasks
  • CICO-SWIS Reporting Features
  • Data-Based Decision Making
  • CICO-SWIS Facilitator Role
  • CICO-SWIS Readiness & Licensing
  • Training and Supporting CICO-SWIS Users

Note: Participants who are certified in another application (e.g., SWIS or I-SWIS) will receive a 50% discount for the training fee.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of the training requirements, CICO-SWIS facilitators will be able to:

  • Lead a school through CICO-SWIS Readiness and Licensing
  • Train schools on accessing, viewing, and printing reports
  • Train users on entering CICO-SWIS data & using the data for decision making
  • Train users on using school settings to manage CICO-SWIS
  • Have a clear understanding of the role and responsibilities of a CICO-SWIS facilitator
  • Effectively navigate the CICO-SWIS application
  • Support 2-5 schools in meeting and maintaining CICO-SWIS Readiness requirements within 6 months of certification
  • Provide coaching for schools related using the application for data-based decision making

Prerequisites

As part of this certification, participants will be required to complete pre-training activities.  The pre-training activities will be sent at least 1 week prior to the first online instructor-led synchronous session and will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

As this is a hybrid training, technological skills (e.g., the ability to navigate and use multiple computer applications and/or resources at the same time) are necessary to successfully access the training content and participate in this training.

Note: Full attendance and participation at all instructor-led synchronous learning sessions is required for certification. Please plan your schedule accordingly.

Target Audience

Anyone wanting to become certified to support school teams with their use of the CICO-SWIS application. The role is designed for people who will be training, supporting, and providing technical assistance to multiple schools within a district, region, and/or state.
