Katie Conley, PhD

Dr. Katie Conley is a senior research assistant at the University of Oregon and since 2009 has worked with educators throughout the U.S. and abroad on building data systems to improve the social climate and student behavioral supports. Specific activities include development of training materials and online tools, delivering professional development workshops, and supporting various research efforts related to Special Education and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Throughout her career, Katie has emphasized the collection and analysis of comprehensive data sources that monitor dimensions of adult implementation activities as well as aspects of student performance. Katie believes that data should align with local values and be regularly shared across community members, families, students, and school personnel. When all stakeholders take ownership of educational data then success as well as challenges are shared. Katie recently completed her doctorate in Special Education at the University of Oregon.
